Privacy Policy

Effective October 2, 2026

The short version

  • Your photos, jobs, notes, client names and business details are stored on your iPhone. There is no WorkProof account, and your photos are never uploaded to us.
  • Your location is used on your device to stamp the address and coordinates. Apple turns coordinates into a street address and provides the weather.
  • When photo verification is turned on, a small record of each photo (its code, time, place, weather, note and file fingerprints, but not the photo) is stored on our server so anyone with the code can check it.
  • To manage subscriptions and measure which ads bring people to WorkProof, the app sends app and purchase events to service providers. These never include your photos, addresses, coordinates, job names or client names.
  • Advertising identifiers are used only if you allow tracking when iOS asks. We don’t sell your personal information.

This policy explains how the WorkProof: Timestamp Camera iOS app (“WorkProof”, “the app”), made by Velocity Apps (“we”, “us”), and the website getworkproof.app handle information. Questions? Email hq@velocityappdevelopment.com.

1. Information that stays on your device

We cannot see or access this information. It may be included in your device backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) according to your own settings; those backups are handled by Apple and your device, not by us.

2. Location, addresses, weather and maps

With your permission, WorkProof uses your device’s location while you use the app to stamp each photo with its street address and, if you choose, its GPS coordinates. Location is not tracked in the background.

These requests go from your device to Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. We don’t receive them.

3. Verify records

Each photo carries a code that lets someone check its record. When this feature is turned on in the app, WorkProof sends a record of each photo to our server right after capture, so the code can be checked at getworkproof.app. A record contains:

The photo itself is not uploaded. Anyone who has the code, for example from the photo or a report you sent, can see this record. Records are written once and not changed, so a code keeps showing the same information. They don’t contain your name, your business details, the job name or the client’s name, unless you typed those into the photo’s note. Records are stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare.

4. Information shared with service providers

ProviderWhat it receivesWhy
Apple (App Store, StoreKit)Your purchase, handled by Apple with your Apple IDPayments, trials and subscription renewals
RevenueCatAn anonymous app user ID, purchase receipts and subscription status, device identifiers, and your onboarding answers (the kind of work you do and what you need proof for)Checking and managing your subscription, and understanding which plans work for which trades
Google Firebase AnalyticsApp events, such as onboarding steps and answers, paywall views, purchases, and feature usage counts (for example photos taken by kind, reports shared), an app instance ID, device and app informationUnderstanding how the app is used and measuring Google advertising
Meta (Facebook SDK)Onboarding completed, trial and purchase events (product, price, currency), device information, and your advertising identifier if you allow trackingMeasuring and improving ads on Facebook and Instagram
SingularInstall, onboarding completed, trial and purchase events, device information, and your advertising identifier if you allow trackingAttributing installs to advertising campaigns
CloudflareVerify records (section 3), and standard request data such as IP address when you visit this website or a verify pageHosting this website and verify records

Usage events contain kinds and counts, never content: for example “a before photo was taken” or “business name was set”, not the photo or the name. Like any online service, these providers see your device’s IP address when the app contacts them and may use it to estimate an approximate region. None of the analytics, subscription or advertising providers receive your photos, addresses, coordinates, job names, client names or notes. Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy.

5. Tracking and your choices

After you start using WorkProof, iOS asks whether the app may track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, your advertising identifier (IDFA) is not accessed, and ad measurement uses Apple’s privacy-preserving methods such as SKAdNetwork. You can change this anytime in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

6. Permissions

You can change these anytime in the iOS Settings app.

7. How long information is kept

Information on your device stays until you delete it in the app or delete the app. Verify records are kept so that codes on photos you’ve already shared keep working, until you ask us to delete them. Information held by service providers is kept according to their retention settings and used only for the purposes above.

8. Deleting your data

More detail is on our data deletion page.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Your photos and jobs never reach us, so you control them directly in the app. For verify records and information held by our service providers, email us and we’ll help.

California residents: we don’t sell personal information. Using Meta and Singular to measure advertising may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out by choosing Ask App Not to Track, or by emailing us.

10. Children

WorkProof is a tool for working adults. It is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU and UK), and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has used the app, email us and we’ll delete any records we hold.

11. International transfers

Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, using appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
